6.1.1 Describe the hunter-gatherer societies, including the development of tools and the use of fire.
The hunter-gatherers were early humans who hunted animals and gathered plants for food. Hunter-gatherers are the early humans in which they didn't have a lot of our advanced things. They built their houses with reed and mud. They used agriculture and irrigation systems.
The hunters-gatherers used tools to dig into the earth to plant seeds, hunt animals, and gather plants.Tools were usually made of stone and sticks because they were not advanced as us today. Some examples are bow and arrows, spears, hammers, and plows.
Hunter-gatherers followed their food and were nomads which meant that they didn't stay in one place for a long time. They moved place to place a lot and had to adapt to their surroundings. Hunters-gatherers sneaked upon their prey and attacked.
Fire was used by hunter-gatherers to keep warm from the cold because at that time there were no heaters. They might have used fire to cook meat because they didn't have a stove or they used fire to scare away animals or insects because they didn't have bug spray or bug repellant at that time too.
