What is the standard? How does the assignment relate to the standard?
Music 1.2 -Read, Write and Perform rhythmic and melodic notation using standard musical symbols.
In this assignment I had to create my own original composition and include rests and notes from only the G Major. I had to present and perform my composition in front of my homeroom and keep the same rhythm as the metronome.

What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
I first created my composition in class and at least wanted to create 8 measures because that was the minimum expectations. I had to do it only on treble clef because we had to play our song on our recorders and not a piano. Then, we had two days to prepare to perform and I had to complete my assignment so that I don't turn the assignment in late.
This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment proves that I am capable of creating an original recorder composition in the G Major scale and perform the song on my recorder. It also shows that I know my notes in the G Major scale and that I did not procrastinate and do it at the last minute.
I could have improved on this assignment by...
I could improved by practicing more and keeping my beat on the metronome instead of rapidly going through the whole song. I could have also tried to come up with a technique to keep my rhythm while playing. I also could have improved on my composition a little(it was good to my opinion) so that I could get yogurtland for at least most improved or best(fat chance for me, but I tried).
How will you apply the skills you learned in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
If I wanted to be a composer and create songs, I can refer back to 6th grade and use my skills at that time and create a song in either in C Major scale or G Major scale.
