Rewrite the standards in your own words? How does the assignment relate to the standard?
6.EE.1 -Create and solve numerical expressions with whole number exponents.
6.EE.2
a) -Create expressions that have operations with numbers and with variables.
b) -Identify parts of an expression using math vocabulary words such as factors, quotient, product, etc.
c) -Solve expressions at right values of the variables. Put in expressions that come from formulas from real life problems. Do arithmetic operations, those that have whole number exponents, in the ordinary order when there is no grouping to specify a certain order.
6.EE.3 -Use the properties of operations to make equivalent fractions.
6.EE.4 -Find out if two fractions are equivalent.
This assignment relates to the standard because you have to create expressions with numbers and variables to find the area of the room and windows. You also have to identify parts of an expression to find out how to find the area. Also you have to solve expressions to find how much feet the walls or ceiling is.

What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
I was engaged in class and I did a few questions with Ms.Ha and I asked my partner when I needed help. I also tried my best and double-checked it with Ms.Ha. Also I wrote down everything Ms.Ha instructed us to write down and I highlighted and underlined words that Ms.Ha wanted us to know and remember.
This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
I am pretty good to my opinion and I am always engaged in class and I carefully listen to what Ms.Ha talked about in class. I don't have a hard time with expressions or variables.
I could have improved on this assignment by...
I could have written more for my explanation and should have asked Ms.Ha questions before winter break. I also should have highlighted and underlined very important things I needed to know.
How will you apply what you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
If I wanted to paint a room, I would look back at this and measure the room I am going to paint and I just follow the steps of how many cans of paint I would need to paint a room. I also have the advantage if I am learning about expressions and variables in future classes because I already learned it.
