Rewrite the standard. How does the assignment relate to the standard?
6.G.4 -Represent three-dimensional objects using nets made up of rectangles and triangles, and use the nets to identify the surface area of these objects. Use these skills in the context of answering real-world and mathematical situations.
The assignment is related to the standard because I have to find the surface area of a cereal box and find the surface area by splitting the box in many ways such as, side, bottom, and back, and front.

What are steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
I first of course got a box in my case I got a cereal box. Then I used a ruler to find the length and width of EACH split rectangle and multiplied them individually and at last I added all of the areas together and got 290in². I turned it on time. Finally, I went to Aeries to check my grade on the assignment and I got a 4.
This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment demonstrates that I am capable of finding the surface area of a cereal box and how I can use a ruler to find the area of each individual rectangle in inches. It also shows that I can add and multiply and always put a surface area with an exponent of 2.
I could have improved on this assignment by...
I could improved on this assignment by not cutting the bottom and top flaps of the cereal box by accident, but luckily I found the area of those two rectangles by using the width of the sides and the width of the front and back rectangles. Besides that I am proud I got a 4.
How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I could apply these skills if I became an architectural and if I need to find the surface area of a room. I also can use these skills for the finals and always cherish the knowledge.
