What is the title of your masterpiece?
My masterpiece is titled Emotion Unknown because I don’t really know whether I am mad or sad and the two feelings are colliding and creating a feeling that is unknown to me and is hard to describe. I thought it was a good title because it is a emotion that is unknown to me.
What was your inspiration to do your masterpiece? Why?
I was inspired by Yery’s art because it was interesting how she used lines to express her feelings and I liked her style. I wanted to try that out, and I ended up having it as a style that I use. I also liked how she mixed the colors and a lot of people already knew what she was expressing in her art for the activity.
What is the meaning behind your artwork?
The meaning behind Emotion Unknown is that I’m actually both mad and sad at the same time because I had a fight with my friend and I didn't know what to feel and blue usually stands for sadness and red is for anger. Also if you mix those colors it creates the color purple and like I said before, the two feelings were colliding.
What special techniques or ideas were used that you learned from art class?
Mr. Lee taught us that lines can show express such as, vertical and horizontal lines express rest, peace, or stability. I used curved lines to show activity. I also used contour lines to outline a butterfly that is visible if you concentrate on my artwork without the outline.
What makes your makes your masterpiece so special the class should put it up on the walls?
The class should put my artwork on the walls because it is awesome to my opinion and I tried my very best and took it seriously. My art should also be on the wall because I never had my artwork on the wall.
