6.3.5 Discuss how Judaism survived and developed despite the continuing dispersion of much of the Jewish population from Jerusalem and the rest of Israel after the destruction of the second temple in A.D 70.
The Jews sustained even after the Babylonian Captivity, the destruction of the first temple, the separation of Judah, the invasion of the Romans, the destruction of the second temple, and the Diaspora. Prophets helped the Jews sustain their religion during the Babylonian Captivity of Nebuchadnezzar. Jews and rabbis built synagogues to worship their monotheistic god. The Jews though never gave up, and they always believed that their god would help them since they thought they had a covenant with their god.
