6.5.4 Outline the social structure of the caste system
The caste system is the social structure in India and the social class is given to you at birth. The caste system is very strict because if someone from a social class marries someone from a different social class, they would both be executed. Another thing was that you cannot get higher in the caste system. For example, if you were a very smart scholar and you were in the low class, you can't even learn anything if you are not in the upper class.
The order of the caste system is very organized, I will tell you the order to the highest social class to the lowest class. First, are the Brahmans, who are priests and rulers. Next, are the Ksatriyas, who are warriors and scholars. Then, the Vaisyas, who are merchants and citizens. After, the Sudras, who are slaves and laborers. Finally, the untouchables, who servants and slaves. They throw away dead bodies. The caste system is currently still used in India in some places and is still very strict.
