What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this GRAPES Project?
The steps I took to complete and do well on this assignment was to get all of my materials such as a poster board, construction paper, glue, and scissors to make and decorate my project. After that I had to type up my paragraphs of India's geography, religion, achievements, politics, economy, and social structure. Then, I had to print them and paste them on my poster board. Next, I had to decorate my poster board with pictures based on India and add color to it. Finally, I had to turn in my project on time on February 7, 2014 without complaints or excuses.
This GRAPES Project demonstrates the following strengths...
I enjoy history with Mr.Suh and I think that it is very interesting and exciting to learn about other countries and civilizations beside the United States. I also write down the things Mr.Suh instructs us to write on the overhead. I am also capable of paraphrasing the information of what I learned into my project. I am also quite great at adding color and decorating my project to my opinion. Additionally, I have done this 3 times already on Mesopotamia, Hebrew Kingdom, and Egypt, so I have the basic idea on what to do.
I could have improved my work on the GRAPES Project by...
I could have improved by writing a little more on all of geography, religion, achievements, politics, economy, and social structure. I could have also added more better decorations like the Buddha in the middle and surrounding him are the paragraphs in a semi-circle. I could have added brighter colors rather than gray and the full colored pictures that were pretty small. Addition to that, I could have filled in all of the blank spaces so that I could have gotten my project picked by Mr.Suh to have my project on the wall.
How will you apply the skills you learned from the GRAPES Project in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I could possibly become a history teacher and recall to all of Mr.Suh's great teachings and apply it to how I would teach my students or maybe I might learn other civilizations in high school and know the information of most of them. I could maybe become an archeologist and study more about Egypt's fascinating pyramids or Mesopotamia's ziggurats. I could maybe use my project as a study guide for a coming test or for my midterm or final.
